A recent study in the treatment of cancer shows that essential oils have enormous potential without the side-effects of current synthetic medicine approaches which damage our immune system leaving us vulnerable to infection, viruses or a recurrence of cancer.

Essential oils offer a plethora of bioactivities including antibacterial, antiviral, antioxidant and anticancer properties which offer multiple benefits in cancer treatment via site-specific and target-oriented delivery of drugs. These are especially needed in our current medical environment when the incidence of cancer is so high.

There are a number of doctors now recommending using essential oil based moisturisers and applying them each and every day to help with immunity and also as natural sunscreens.

Another study in 2017 investigated the use of lavender essential oil massage in 52 pregnant woman. Compared with the control group, participants who received a lavender essential oil massage had higher levels of IgA, a marker of immune function, in their saliva.  We know that blends of essential oils are more effective than a single oil so just imagine the benefits of using multiple oils in a massage blend.
