As we look ahead to celebrating 30 years since Balanced Essentials was officially registered in October 1997, I thought I’d share a little more of our story with you.

It all began in my shop in Beecroft, Sydney, where my early experiences with customers inspired me to develop my own blends. In October 1996, I began creating the Balanced Essentials products that would become such a meaningful part of my life—and, I’m grateful to say, the lives of so many others.

One of our most exciting milestones came on 10 January 2000, when we had our first meeting with TVSN buyer Aida Yang. Just weeks later, at 4pm on 5 February, our very first show went to air from Global Studios in Sydney. Imagine the excitement of sharing something I had created with viewers across the country!

Our time with TVSN brought some unforgettable achievements, including a record sales day of $103,933 with producer Michael Poulos. Balanced Essentials also had one of the lowest product return rates—something that meant a great deal to me.

But the most rewarding part of this journey has always been you, our customers. Your trust, loyalty and stories have given my work its purpose, and being able to help you over so many years remains a privilege.

Over the coming months, I’ll be opening the photo albums and sharing memories of our early days, how our products developed and some special moments along the way.
